A Mossy Mouthful

Sometimes a picture deserves its very own post. While trying to photograph a blue jay through my back porch window I saw this little fella scratching around in the fern bed just outside. I didn't realize that a titmouse feathered its bed with moss. Pretty sweet.

That's just such a sweet photo. I never seem to see titmouse up here, but when in Arizona, the Bridled Titmouse come to the feeders. I just love them as they're such perky little fellows!

Love the image, the Tits here all queue up when Rhys gets brushed out on the yard some being brave enough to land at our feet and gather the downy softness which makes me smile to think of 'cashmere' lined nests:0)
