When you're sitting in wintry April, little things like mallards out for a stroll - can fill an otherwise ho-hum day.

Thank you so much for a reaffirming my sense of whimsy.

YES- my squirrels are FAT :0) You would be too, if you lived in MY backyard :0D

I'll be watching for ducklings. The female eats 8 times more than the drake - she's eating for 4 . . or more, I guess.Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00548755592157386484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20316869.post-40242266203103208552007-04-11T04:53:00.000-05:002007-04-11T04:53:00.000-05:00Great series of photos! I agree with Laura about that squirrel -- it sure looks well fed -- and also not too happy about the ducks moving in! For the past 2 or 3 years, my mom has had a pair of ducks visiting her yard once or twice a day to clean up seed spilled by the birds that come to the feeders. We think they must be nesting in a little storm water lagoon nearby, but they fly over and then walk into the yard for their daily visit.burning silohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03699849089828169389noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20316869.post-83037054104754822782007-04-10T20:39:00.000-05:002007-04-10T20:39:00.000-05:00So where are the eggs?
