"Today is the day when daffodils bloom . . . . . "
I posted earlier in the day bemoaning the lack of spring eye-candy in my back yard. Guess what was happening beside the front door step as the sun chased the last day of March into April. My daffodils opened above last year's oak leaves. Pretty blue Chiondoxia smiles into the breeze. Glory of the Snow - sweet harbinger of spring. Click here for Daffodil Celebration!

I'll never forget our trip to the local historical cemetery looking for a migrating bird and finding, instead, the field of daffodils. Lunch on a small stone bench overlooking the patch of Spring's promise renewed our our faith in life.
What a lovely, lovely comment. Thanks for sharing.

These yellow daffs are soon gone, and we wait another year to see that kind of intense yellow with scalloped fringes. I would love to see an entire meadow just covered with them.
Ah yes, Bonita. A meadow covered with daffodils. In the heart of winter this year I 'Googled' images of daffodils and found many daffodil-festooned meadows, pastures and parks and created a screensaver slide-show. It was lovely and a constant reminder of sunny days to come.
As you know, we're into crocuses. Daffodils will be another little while. We actually had some snow today -- flurries with no accumulation.
