The Toledo Botanic Gardens are lovely any time of year. After a long winter they are particularly welcoming as the daffodils turn their dazzled faces into sunny skies. Magnolia blossoms open on breezy days with clouds scudding ahead of promised rain. My photo records such a day. The poem emerged when I later spotted the enterprising bee doing what bees do after months of waiting. (I had to enhance him a bit in 'Paint' :0)

Nice poem and picture. No daffodils here yet. I still see crocuses around though.
Thank you, Anvilcloud. Crocuses seem so fleeting here. But, I guess everything about spring seems to go too fast - except its arrival! What latitude are you? I've told my husband that 42' north is my aging body's upper limit :0)
On my afternoon walk the other day I was stunned to see the most beautiful Magnolia in bloom, with star-shaped blooms. It was dazzling. Now I know why my Grandmother always raved about them in her letters to me when I was a little girl. When I see Magnolias I think of her.
Cathy, that comment by Wes was actually mine - he forgot to reset the ID....
