Today my great-niece, Katie, was baptized. Prior to the ceremony the priest told the assembled family that babies are always fascinated when the candle symbolizing Christ as light of the world is lit and held before them. There were many smiles as she instinctively reached for the light.

Today my great-niece, Katie, was baptized. Prior to the ceremony the priest told the assembled family that babies are always fascinated when the candle symbolizing Christ as light of the world is lit and held before them. There were many smiles as she instinctively reached for the light.

I hope that she continues to reach towrds the light.
Oh she doesn't seem to need to reach for the light as she is brimming over with starlight, may she discover ways of embracing and being embraced when she looks up and discovers home 0) and may her parents understand and encourage her to carry on being as she becomes even more who she is.

Every little bud or bloom instinctively turns towards the sun. Even morning glories, pesky trailers that they are, covering every chain-link fence, know that mornings are the time to open fully. I wish everyone a good morning.
