From the ridiculous to the sublime. An interesting week.
Yep, I had to put this sign out there to stop the mayhem. Twice a year we can put unlimited trash on the curb. Stand back, folks. It's a jungle out there.
This was soooo cool. It's a Poison Hemlock moth who overwintered on a dirty windowsill ledge, just inside the screen. Can you believe the camouflage?
I think it's an aberrant house finch. First, for me. (Just did a little research. It's diet.)
My niece, Sarah, and little Katie. Wind, pinwheels, and spring. Sublime.
Katie's new sweet sis, Lauren. Yep, sublime.

Yes, ah, spring. And what a cool moth. Excellent camouflage. Great shot of Katie and her daughters. What a happy group. So, people will actually tear the garbage bags open looking for stuff? Around here it's the crows that do that. I think they became much bolder over the winter.
Beautiful babies, lovely flowers....
Lauren looks like a real cutie. It is such fun to see wee ones with their bigger sisters.
Interesting looking finch. Diet is how they manage to make sure the stocked trout up in the northern states have pink meat. It fools us flatlanders into thinking they are wild trout. I like the photo that shows the sun peeking through the flowers.
Great stuff to remind us of spring, Cathy. We are finally getting a little of it here now too and I am so thankful to see it in bloom.
Hugs,
Laurie
