Receive

Receive, receive
the snow, the sifting,
receive the whiteness
sweeping, sweeping
across sear leaves receive,
receiving
the weight of nothing,
air conceiving
wafting crystals,
frost-winged moths
drifting down,
swept aloft.
Across the yard
and limbs receiving,
as the sun is gently leaving,
softness, softness
gently whispering,
softness, softness
now descending
through the trees,
across the eaves,
. . .receive
. .. . receive . . . .
receive . . . .
. . . . . . . receive
.

Well, welcome and thanks Trout birder! My lack of discipline led me to post this poem and then continue polishing over time.

It's like snow. No two versions are alike :0)

Cathy,

I just scrolled through all of your posts back to June 2008. In knowing you, I know a true artist.

You're awesome.

Hugs,
Mary

Mel!
How kind of you to take the time to visit and leave kindness in your wake.

Returning that hug :-)

Sweet Mary!

You are so dear to stop by and meander through my attempts to lasso some of the mystery and beauty.

There's been so much on my plate lately and I badly need to catch up with my blog friends. I miss your whimsy and observations on life. I'll be over to visit in the new year.

Thank you so much.

Big Hug,
Cathy
