Brother Bob's Northview Aerie (Hubby say's He's calling it "Northern Exposure")

The view looking North . . . .
Yup.  He's a genius:)

By request . . . a few more pixes.  The gazebo is about 20 feet below and 30 felt horizontally from the aerie.  He designed and built the floating gazebo some 20 plus years ago.

That is so awesome! I always wanted to build something like that. I notice he included a lightning rod and some rods for a faraday cage. Very wise - though without a roof I don't know if I'd want to be out there during a storm :)

Truly. It is amazing. And veeery cool :)

I'm telling him you said so :) I often refer to it as his Sistine Chapel. The creative genius and hard, hard labor all came together.

He's going to be so pleased when he reads these comments. And I'm impressed that you referenced the lightning rod and faraday cage! And you're darned toot'n about getting the heck off the thing when thunderheads are building. I called him down off it last weekend when I heard rumbling off in the distance.

Don't think we haven't talked about it's potential as a defense position when the cities erupt and start heading south to the countryside. And yes . . I'll bet you're ready for 'cooler'.

Wow! What a vista. It's beautiful. It's really neat to see how it is coming together.
