We we're lucky early this morning. It was worth the effort to get out of bed and onto a hill behind my brother's in Loudonville, Ohio.

The Color of All The Sunsets and Sunrises Occurring on Earth
That's why the moon - during an eclipse - takes on a rosy glow.
We we're lucky early this morning. It was worth the effort to get out of bed and onto a hill behind my brother's in Loudonville, Ohio.

Not My World Anymore . . .
The local botanical garden provides camera fodder during any season. A few days ago I happily photographed bugs, flowers and mushrooms. As I headed back toward my car . . a phalanx of young people swept toward me on the paved path. They gave no quarter. I had to step into the grass.
I turned around and took my revenge with my camera.
Not my world anymore folks. . .
The only time I got that naked when I was a kid . . .was on a beach . . and my bathing suit was actually more modest than these outfits :)

What we may not deserve . . . but surely need . . .
A little beauty . . . a little whimsy . . amidst this old world's shadows . . .

Brother Bob's Northview Aerie (Hubby say's He's calling it "Northern Exposure")
Yup. He's a genius:)
By request . . . a few more pixes. The gazebo is about 20 feet below and 30 felt horizontally from the aerie. He designed and built the floating gazebo some 20 plus years ago.

A Natural With Her Paint Brush.
If I could paint I'd love my work to look like these paintings that I collected on the elbow of Cape Cod.
Janice Lincoln is the lovely lady that assists her son on the Rip Ryder which carries summer visitors for sightseeing, picnicking and seal viewing to the island off the southern end of the Cape. It's the Monomoy Island Ferry.
In the winter she paints. Just for the fun of it. Her work captures the feel of the ocean and the places she's grown to know over time. Her husband, Ed (Porky) knows they're good and smiles indulgently as I bug him to let me have first dibs on them as he opens his van to perspective ferry passengers. There they are. I've waited all winter to have a look. They are so reasonably priced that I feel guilty.
But not guilty enough to save them for the next passerby's. Thank you Jan. They're lovely and will brighten spirits next winter back in Ohio.

A very lucky pup . . .
My dear friend, Jonna . . . had to say goodbye to her long-time pup companion, Hudson.
If you've had a fur-kid . .. if you've ever loved a dog . . . you know her pain. This is one of my favorite pictures of Jonna and Hudson.
And you can see, that he was one lucky pup.

The Phoebe has returned to central Ohio . . .
Can Spring - truly - be just over the rise?
He sounds a little frazzled, but after this long winter - who isn't ?
And he sat pretty for me as I recorded his plumage & "song'.
