Oooo, amazing - I love the one third from the bottom! They're such funny creatures.

Amazing is exactly right!

Wow--Cathy--such photos. You can really see how birds are the true descendants of dinosaurs in the one photo that shows the underlying bone structure.
Is it time to migrate north again for you?

Julie. ThreeCollie. Donna.

You women blow me away.

My lucky shots are nothing compared to your kindness in stopping by my blog and leaving a pat on the shoulder - a smile.

I have been in some kind of obdurate waiting-for-spring funk and have dropped all semblance of good-mannered reciprocity and though unworthy - am beyond grateful for your steadfast kindness.

Thank you. You lift my spirits.

Donna - we're home and happy to report that something in the Cardinal's voice and the slant of sunlight back into my living room - gives me hope.

Cathy, it's so good to see your wonderful photos. Are you feeling a little springy yet? The snow must be melting by now... (hopefully).

Hugs,
Mary

Swampie -
Thank you!
I love these birds, too.
Could watch them endlessly.

Hey Tom -
Oh yes. I loved that one too.
Thank you!

Sweet Laurie -
Thanks, dear. It was hard not to get a good pix. I'm hanging in . . hope you are too.

Mel -
Thanks so much. Aren't these birds the greatest?! I miss them.

Hey sweet Mary -
The snow is receding and I'm hanging in there. I'll soon be over to your place to get some smiles:0)

Patrice -
Thank you sooooo much. The old bod is perhaps having a little set-back, but yes - there's always poetry in the beauty that is ready at hand if we look . . . listen.

Wow! That is beautiful! I've never seen a pelican other than in photos or on television.

Larry -

Thank you!

Well, then - it's time for you to get you hence to a sea shore. Everyone deserves to see pelicans.

I'll have to load myself up with dramamine first-that's for sure!
