Things That May Salvage a Gray Day . . .

What the Heart Wants to See

Oh little shake of fluff and feather,
At my window in blustery weather,
Athwart the pine branch dipping down,
You flit away without a sound.

Beautiful, evocative and a little sad, all at once.

Thank you, Marianne . . .
It is so interesting . . . the very different ways we find beauty this time of year.

And thank you, Rev. Paul . .
You have a poets heart.

The title of my post was inspired by my favorite poet's poem:

Dust of Snow

The way a crow
Shook down on me
The dust of snow
From a hemlock tree

Has given my heart
A change of mood
And saved some part
Of a day I had rued.

Of course - it's Robert Frost

I always love your poems, as well as the ones you share by other poets....and I forgot to say how spectacular I found that photo. Great job!

Marianne . . Thank you so much.
You truly experience poetry in your daily life.
You walk through so much more experience day to day than most can imagine.
