Mea Maxima Culpa

If I hadn't been tossing the contents of the mini-bar onto the patio behind our room I wouldn't be posting this photo of napping Javelina. Well I did and I am. For three days they waited patiently behind our room. If our door was even slightly ajar, you could smell them. Yes, smell them. They are very stinky animals. I think it was Mary who warned me to 'watch out' they're dangerous. When one of them stirred from his nap to yawn - I saw what she meant. Still, they don't seem aggressive and apparently I'm not the only one to toss snacks their way. We also saw them nosing through room service left-overs outside another Casita. Wish I could stop feeling guilty. (Please click on these for the full effect. Yipes!)

How funny that the knackered little beasties all lined up in a neat little row for their nap. Looks like you posed them for the pic. I am really wondering how you got the one to yawn on cue though!!

Nothing like living near stinky peeping toms! LOL! I read they can be aggressive but if you continue to throw them treats, I wouldn't worry about it. Just make sure you keep treats on hand...

I assume javelinas are related to pigs, and I like pigs. . .but these guys look a little less than huggable. Sorry.

When you mentioned mini-bar and I saw these napping *beauties* I thought maybe you'd been tossing them little bottles of whiskey. Silly me!

They do look awfully ferocious. I won't try to imagine what they smell like.
