I Love Squirrels

I saw some rustling in the oak tree above my patio. Hmmm. Those don't look like oak leaves.

That's not a musical instrument he's playing - it's my geranium. (Click for a better look)

"Needs a little salt."

"What's for dessert?"

I'm headed to Cape Cod with my hubby for a long vacation. I wanted to leave my blog with a little levity on the front door stoop. Things have been hectic here and I miss dropping in on all my favorite blogs. I'll be checking in when we're settled in Chatham. Happy Solstice, friends!

These are spectacular photos. What kind of squirrel is that?
Hope you have a wonderful time and get really rested and relaxed! Don't forget to look up on the hill just west of the village and toot! We will be listening for you. The big, wild- looking white house on the southern hill is us.

Lynne -
You sweetie! "Home safe" is right at the top of my agenda. Thanks :0) I'll be dropping in on you soon - miss you.

Pam -
Oh, so you found the charms of Chatham, too. How lovely to share that. I wonder where your favorite hang out spots were. I love to drive to Morris Island and hike down the stairs by the weather observatory to look out over the elbow of the Cape.

Three Collie -

Don't you have fox squirrels!? Would you like a couple dozen? I could just pull over to the side of the road and point up the hill to the nice people waving from the wild-looking house :0D!

We hope to get into Albany around 5 to 6 - I don't know what time that places us in your neck of the woods, but we'll be honking 'hello':0)

Have a wonderful vacation, Cathy. I would love to see Cape Cod sometime.

We've got squirrels too - they raid my bird-feeders and are incredibly smart. Somehow, they find peanuts, probably from someone in the neighborhood, and bury them in my yard.

I'll miss you Cathy. Enjoy your vacation.

Do you really love squirrels? Well, I guess they are cute...

Cathy--I agree with Mary--squirels are cute, but every morning I go out, find my flower pots all dug up--flowers all uprooted--and say @%*#*% squirrels!
Do have a wonderful restful restorative long vacation.
And we will keep looking for your blogs, and your comments!

Have a nice time away! The blueberries ought to be ripe on the Cape.

I was sitting on my back porch yesterday and saw something fall from a tree. It was a squirrel. It fell a long way, but it was OK.
