Yes, Marianne. My sibs and I are in a rather nostalgic mood this spring. He was truly, the finest of men. My mother always said of him - that he was as kind to the garbage man as he was to her :) I miss him so much. He was felled by Lou Gehrig's Disease. Dad was always a runner and healthy. This terrible disease took him in nine months. He was 73.
I can see the resemblance to your brother. I am so grateful to the many men like him, unsung heroes who keep us safe and provide in war time and peace. I can see why you can never forget him.

Oh Jonna . . . yes, it's there in Bob who of course is his namesake. And yes . . we owe so much to so many for our good lives.
