You are feeling veeeerrrrrrryy sleepy . . . . .

I watched him nodding off up in the old silver maple snag.   A frigid wind was ruffling the fur on his tail . . . but the returning sun felt good on his little squirrel back.

I was thinking the same thing as Stephen, but the south-central Alaskan variety of tree rats is safe from me: they're scrawny & way too little to be of much value.

Now, some of that big, fat grey squirrels in Missouri that my uncle & I used to hunt... :)

OK, Rev. Paul . . .
You are now #2 on that Bad Boy list.

Bad, baaaaad boy.

P.S. My dear hubby remembers picking the little pellets out of the squirrels his dad prepared. They had to stretch to make ends meet. Hubby has never eaten squirrel since.

What a snuggly series. He must be well insulated for the snowflakes on his nose to stay frozen. As for the previous comment line - sautéed with scallops; yummy.

Jonna . . . I was thinking the same thing about those snowflakes on his nose . . Good pick up.

UNFORTUNATELY: You must now take the 3rd spot on my Bad Boy list. Even though you're a girl . .The fellas won't mind your company :)

Oh, and after reading the comments...well, I have eaten squirrel, but it just doesn't taste good enough to bother.

Thank you, Marianne!
Those are some lucky shots.
He was keeping an eye on me and I had to hold reeal still.

(I will give you a pass on #3 spot on the Bad Boy list - since you aren't eat'n 'em anymore ;)

PS

That is : - you are spared the #4 spot . .
bad girl, Jonna, got #3 . .

Are you sure you didn't hit him with a tranquilizer dart so you could get that photo? That's a pretty cool series of photos!

Larry! Long time no see :)
Thank you so much for the kind words.
I'll be over to say "Hey."
