God Creating Man

It was too chilly to bird today. Besides, I was feeling a little under the weather and therefore the overcast sky seemed appropriate to my mood as I sat in the car listening for birdsong and watching the Sun trying to break through the dark clouds.

I peered up through my moon-roof and saw this cloud apparition. Pretty cool. Hope you can see it. I sure did. Though as I look at it again it seems God isn't so much creating Adam as he is pulling him out of the water. Perhaps Adam got in over his head and the patient creator is saying, " OK, give me your hand and come on up here where it's nice and dry. We'll go have a warm cup of cocoa and talk things over."

I think he's telling Adam to watch out for falling fruit.

Cool cloud formation. And what an eye you have to see the similarity to Michelangelo's painting (or sculpture).

Cloud watching is one of my favourite things to do. I have to be careful sometimes when driving an cloud gazing! We had a cool cloudy day too, but I saw no dramatic pictures overhead.

Cathy-It must have been your relatives that came up with the constellations in the night sky.
-what an imagination-But yes-now that you've found it, I can see it.

AC - Ahr! Ahr! Or 'fallen' fruit.

Donna - I love that painting and I love the movie Michaelangelo with Heston and Harrison. I guess I did have to strreetch a bit.

Ruth - We don't often get dramatic clouds. When we do - I'm enthralled.

Larry - Yep. Our family has NEVER lacked imagination. Good sense, maybe, but our brains run wild. Actually my son IS an astronomer, but never got to name a star - only the sodium taurus ring around Jupiter's moon Io. Cool, too.

That's wonderful, Cathy. How like you to see such beauty in the sky. I hope you feel better soon, dear lady.

I see God saying, "Come on over, but make it quick....I change and vanish, then reorganize and drop breakfast on my flowers.

I don't think I would have seen that, Cathy, although I love cloud gazing. You have sharp vision and such a creative mind. I see your painting in the sky!

How neat! You seem to find the most interesting shape rhymes and light effects. Hope you're feeling better now.

Well, I see it, and I agree with you about dark days! They do make for active skies, though.

I didn't want to post this to the above entry, but if your weather is anything like ours, you will be in store for a great birding weekend.

Also ... I have a friend who is a bit of a birder and naturalist. She has some nice photos here.
