Dinosaur Sightings and Delicacies

You remember the dinosaur and shark sightings in my last post. These are the neighborhood kids who asked for 5 dollars to shovel my drive and walks. Rigggght. It was heaviest snow of the year. They got 5 bucks each.(Actually, the one in pink got 2)

Regan provided the moral support. She also sampled the snow.

I've never seen a kid so engaged in eating snow.

She was consumed with consumption.

The fellas worked up a sweat as their chain gang moved down the sidewalk.

The heat made the dinosaur molt. He cooled down with a snow noogie.

Interior climate change did him in. He collapsed with extinction.

The shark and Regan kept shoveling snow.

When were you, ever, so in love . . .

With a handful of transformed water?

The sheer pleasure of snowmelt on your tongue?

Priceless!!!
A snow noogie...
And the sweetheart in pink.
I would have paid $17 for that show!

I love the face on the little snow eater- concentration? bliss?

You crack me UP! This post is priceless. I love the kid who collapsed - tee hee.

You see joy and merriment in everything, Cathy.

Incredibly CUTE post.

Thanks for the smile tonight.

I ate snow in 2005. I was thirsty at the moment.

It's hard to decide if your photos documented snow removal or performance art -- a little of both, I think.

I hope Regan retains her fondness for life's simple pleasures.

Looks like these guys were working hard with that snow! I think someone needs to remind mother nature that it's March!

My goodness--is that snow current? Still on the ground?

I can see why you were in Phoenix last week! Will your snow ever go away? And believe it or not, we had a little of it ourselves last night and there's a snow warning again tonight!

Snow... that's the white stuff, right? ;)

I think everyone got a surfeit of it this year except us in the deep south.

That's nice that there are still kids that are willing to try to make some money shoveling.-I used to do that but I haven't seen any kids in the area doing in the last 10 years.

Ruth -

Thank you :0)
It would have been cheap at twice the price.

Lynne -

I think it's a bit of both:0)
OK. We need to make a pact. Time to eat snow. I KNOW you've still got some, sooooo - you first :0D

Mary

You cutie! Did you REALLY eat snow in '05? I hear that was a good year :0)
(I try to find the humor, but some days. . . well . . you know.)

Marvin -

So nice to have you stop by. Yes, it is to be hoped that Regan remembers the joys of the little things. Adulthood can be a little hard on that skill.

Three Collie -

Thank you :0) I had more fun capturing this wonderful children. It really was so easy: point and shoot.

Tom -

They were working harder than I have in a verrrrry long time. It was downright inspirational.

Laurie -

Thank you, honey :0) Hug back at 'cha :0)

Donna -

CURRENT??!!! We've had MORE! ARGHHHHH! :0)

Patrice -

I'll 'ditto' my above comment:
ARRGHHHHHH! :0)

Rurality -

Come on up! I'd be happy to share. (Better hurry, though . . that sun is getting stronger. Ahhhhhh :0)

Larry -

Yes! I hadn't had kids stop by like that in years, either. The neighborhood is getting younger again as older boomers are moving on.
