It's cold and snowy in Ohio. I could post pictures of my sparrows scratching through the snow for the millet that the starlings have knocked off my bird feeder tray. Boring. So we'll take a short trip back in time. Let's look at feisty Roseate Spoonbills. How about the two Little Blue Heron? It took me a couple years to figure out that I was looking at the mature and immature forms.

Oooo-the Roseate spoonbills are a lovely sight on a winter morning. And the contrast against the dark water is perfect.
I love the color here, and the reflection. Reminds me of your 'kissing swans'...both images are so lovely.
Lovely photos. Nothing but white and grey here right now. Between that and my blogger comments not working, I'm a bit down. So good to see the bright colors!
Oh so pretty. Black and white or full glorious technicolour! Both are fabulous, and sure brighten up this dull winter afternoon here in the Ottawa Valley.
Right now it is snowing - yahoo - and we are about to go out for a walk. Hope I'll be able to catch a snowflake or two on my tongue.
They're both good, but the first one is splendid!
very best photo
