I'm Going To Delete This Post

I thought today's post would be about my hubby and son actually READING AN INSTRUCTION MANUAL and about the nature walk my son and I took through a remnant wet prairie and the cocoon and green beetle we discovered there.

Instead I'm exorcising the evil that pulled alongside us on our way home from the walk. This cyclist waited up ahead in the turn lane with his grisly adornments dangling from his gear. My mind tried to rationalize it in every way possible. I came up with the story that he was out checking his animal traps and this is how a red-blooded American carries his hard day's work home. I grabbed my camera and took a few pictures.

Skeletons and bullet holes. A really lovely human being. When I magnified these pictures I felt sick. It's that window that you don't even know is there - that may open someday and reveal a horror you'd never imagined existed.

I apologize for this post. I won't keep it here long. Somehow in the wake of Virginia Tech - it really makes me sick - really. What do his friends and family think? Is this another 'Cho' waiting to emerge - to snap? So I leave you with a picture of the cocooon my son and I noticed earlier. It now seems more sinister.

Now there's a mature person with no issues at all.

A sweetheart...NOT.

I fully understand your horror, dear Cathy. Don't apologize for this post. After the week we had, that Bozo should have stayed home and surrounded himself with his formidable junk. I get outraged, too, when I see any sign of morbid hobbies on display.

Next post: Hubby and Son reading an instruction manual? Now's that an unfamiliar concept :0)

Hey, the frogs are crooning tonight! I'd like to add that I'm glad that green beetle isn't as large as a dog...oooooo, scary.

I don't even know what to say!

It's more commonplace than any of us want to acknowledge. We share the planet with all kinds, I'm afraid.

So I am sitting here with my mouth open looking at all the pelts hanging from that bike. What's with that--what does the rider think that says about him?
On a happier note, I love the iridescence of the green beetle.

I had an experience yesterday that disturbed me as well. Someone had a crow from a rope as if it was on a gallow's pole.-I wasn't even going to mention it. It is a scary world.

SEE? THERE ARE MORE OF US THAN THERE ARE OF THEM. WE PUSH BACK AT THE SHADOWS AS DAILY WE LIGHT OUR CANDLES.

Oh mercy, Cathy. That is extremely disturbing. I think my face is frozen in horror right now.

On a lighter note: Like Mary said, Men? Reading instructions? (*Looks around for Candid Camera crew*)

I had to come back and tell you how much I loved the photo of your green bug and of course your hubster's hands holding the directions. If you delete the post, leave the happy photos, OK?

Laurie -

Thanks, dear. Yes, I need to do the post I'd originally planned. I agree. That 6 spotted tiger beetle is a handsome fellow. And that was indeed a momentous occasion watching my hubby grasping the manual.

Love the green bug but I have to agree with the crazy motorcycle getup! For sure its junk! I would hate to see what his house looks like!

Mon@rch -

But what 'manner' of junk ?! Yikes!

There are too many signs of violence and I keep my candle lit.
Hate the guy, love the green bug!

It looks like he's been shot at a few times, by the look of his windshield. Now, lets see, was he wearing a helmet? If not, no need to worry about body-counts. It will just be his.....

Pam -

I guess that's a new twist on 'hate the sin, love the sinner' :0)

I'm with you - this man is loathsome.

Bonita -

I suppose I should care that he doesn't wear a helmet and could end up looking like one of those pelts he's so proudly displaying. 'Should' doesn't make it so.
