Point And Shoot

Let's face it. Here in the desert - you can't miss. Point and shoot. A Cardinal is a flame. A Cactus Wren wrests a smile from a winter countenance. An arid climate frames the lives that inhabit a landscape of strong shadows and spiny plants. We're not in Kansas anymore. (If you can only click on one - make it the Cardinal)

Wow! Great pics sis! The cardinal is lovely (I think I see a peanut in his mouth?), but I love the cactus wren and quail too (you can see his eye!). For overall dynamics, I choose the wren. Glad you're getting a little extra UV out here in the west - just wish you were close enough for a visit! Love you,
Jen

Wonderful photos! Glad to hear you're in AZ -- one of our favourite places to roam. Hope you have a great time there.

All three pictures are outstanding. I love it when my cardinal family returns each year. Thanks for sharing the photos.

All three feathered wonders are delightful.

Mother Nature has a beautiful family doesn't she? I am glad her children behaved and allowed you the photo shoot.

I miss cardinals. They were all over the place in southwestern Ontario, but they are much scarcer here in the east. They are so awesomely beautiful.

I've never seen a cardinal, but I see quail in eastern Washington. All your photos are great, Cathy. How fortunate to be where it is a little warmer for awhile.

I was wondering when Ohio became a desert? Ahh, guess you're traveling to warmer climes. I'm still wishing for a nice snowfall.
